Hello! *waves sheepishly*

Thanks so much to any and everyone who's bothered to stick around here! I really, truly did not intend to leave the workings of this comm hanging for nearly a year, but... well, life happens.

As it is, I'm currently preparing for final exams, but I'm also using what little spare time I have to begin planning out the details of the next new exchange, in addition to posting the last fic (which is currently being written by a back-up) of the Valentine's Day 2007 round, revealing the V-Day writers' names, and preparing for the extremely overdue awards round for last year's Winter exchange.

I do deeply and sincerely apologize for appearing to have abandoned the community, and I hope to pick things back up very, very soon. Running two exchange communities is most definitely not an easy task, and I may, in fact, put up a post soon for anyone interested in applying for a co-mod position.

In the meantime, I've put up a new layout, and I'm always open to any suggestions or ideas as to how the comm can be improved, made more reader/writer-friendly, etc. :-)

I'm sorry I haven't been keeping to my deadlines, but real life up and decided to take me prisoner for a while. Perhaps this will make you guys forgive me? ;-)

For people who'd like to do back-up writing or other work around the comm, I'm putting up a post soon with forms for you guys to fill out. Also, I'll be posting the header and footer forms for the V-Day exchange soon, so authors, be sure to keep an eye out for that entry! Remember, you've only got three days left to get your fics in, unless you contact me and ask for an extension. Please do drop me a line if you're having any trouble, as that lets me know you're not dropping out or something of the like.

It's finally here! No time to waste. I've re-vamped the rules just for this exchange, so even if you've read them before, there's a very good chance that I've changed what you know. Therefore, it would behoove you to read the rules again.

Please be very, very careful if you plan on participating both here and at rwhgficexchange, as that basically means you'll be pulling double duty. The new policy is much more binding, as you're now obligated to write a fic in return for making a request. If you drop out, then you're letting down someone who's worked hard to fulfill a request him/herself-- maybe even yours.

Remember, since this is obviously an exchange geared towards Valentine's Day, your fic requests must be centered around that holiday. Common sense, dearies.

If you want to participate as a back-up writer, hold off for a bit until I post separately about that.

A new addition to the general administration portion of the request form is the "secret words" portion. This is to test how carefully you've read the rules. Your form will not be approved until this part is completed correctly.

All comments to this post will be screened, as we'll be working under the "Secret Santa" format again (although I'd say it's more like "Secret Valentine" in this case). Note, however, that if you 're especially late in turning in your fic, you are subject to having your name posted on the authors masterlist anyway. Any harassment from disgruntled requestees would then be your responsibility. You have been warned. ;-)
